Suppressing the sample variance of DESI-like galaxy clustering with fast simulations
Authors/Creators
Description
Supplementary data and jupyter notebooks for the figures of the paper "Suppressing the sample variance of DESI-like galaxy clustering with fast simulations".
The file clustering_analysis.tar.gz contains the data for the two-point correlation function, power spectra and bispectra from the AbacusSummit and FastPM galaxy catalogs. We show the comparison of galaxy clustering between AbacusSummit and FastPM, and demonstrate the suppression of the sample variance via the CARPool method.
The file bao_fit.tar.gz contains the code fitting the baryon acoustic oscillations (BAO) signal from the AbacusSummit two-point correlation function (or power spectrum) with and without the CARPool application, respectively. It includes the input and output files for the BAO fitting. We show the decrease of the standard deviations of the BAO scale parameters with CARPool applied.
