Digital India: Challenges and Its Opportunities

Description

Digital India is a crown jewel initiative programme of the government of India with a motive to revolutionize India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The main motive of India as a digital country is to ensure that all the government services are easily made available to the citizens electronically. It also aims to entrust the country digitally in the domain information technology which is a need of the hour. The foundation of digital India was laid down by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the campaign was finally launched on 1st July 2015.

         One of the other motives of digital India is also to mainly connect the rural part of the country with the outer world by providing them with all the facilities which will pave the way for the success transformation of India as a digitally advanced nation in the world platform. But as we all know that every coin have two sides in the same way the path for digitalization is also not that much an easy task to achieve. This paper attempts to bring some of the challenges as well as the available opportunities for the digital India campaign.
