Rypticus saponaceus (Bloch & Schneider, 1801)
MB06-005720; K – Praia Morro Peixe (23-08-1955), field sample 35; 1 specimen with TL 175 mm. Purchased from local fishermen; caught with hook and line.
First record for São Tomé Island: Osório (1891); in Correia da Costa (1959) as R. saponaceus.
