NIH NICHD Ecosystem E1: Data Repository Finder V1.0

Initial release of DRF source code and accompanying documentation.

About the DRF: Recognizing the need for researchers to find and use data repositories that address their specific data needs, NICHD developed a tool to display information researchers need to complete their Data Management and Sharing Plans when applying for NICHD funding. The Data Repository Finder (DRF) web application was built using a standard web development stack including a back-end written with Python and Flask and a front-end written in Javascript / React. It interfaces with a Postgres database for data storage and retrieval. The application presents a single place to search for data repositories suitable to address requirements described by NIH policy, and find information required to complete NIH data management and sharing plans.
