Year 1 report on experimental validation and demonstration

This deliverable reports the definition of the experimental setup that will be used as proof-of-concept demonstrator. Two experimental facilities will be primarily used for the demonstrations to be carried out as part of TIMING SP-3, i.e., the 5G Telefonica Open Network Innovation Center (5TONIC), located in Leganes, Madrid, as well as the Telefonica’s Technology and Automation lab located at Telefonica headquarters in Madrid.
Next, the deliverable provides a preliminary analysis of the use cases, where two use cases are analyzed in terms of the functional and non-functional requirements and KPIs. The use cases are related to the control of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV).
A preliminary definition of the tests to be carried out experimentally is subsequently carried out around the relevant KQIs for the TIMING architecture that will support the two use cases to be demonstrated. Specifically, a selection of KPIs to be measured through the use cases is included. The data to be collected, from AGVs, TSN and transport network is specified to meet the expected results, which might include data from performance monitoring, context, and other meta-data.
Finally, a preliminary version of the dataset is reported. Dataset collection have been carried out during the specific test performed in TIMING SP-2 and reported in deliverable D1.1 [1], as well as from specific data collection activities.
