TRADITIONAL AND MODERN LIBRARY SOURCES AND SERVICES FOR INCULCATION OF READING HABITS AMONG STUDENTS: STUDY OF DR. C.V. RAMAN UNIVERSITY, BILASPUR (C.G.)

Description

The present paper is an attempt to find out the “Promotion of Reading Habits” through traditional as well as modern library sources and services of Dr. C.V. Raman University Kargi Road, Kota Bilaspur. The inculcation of reading habits among users has been analysed and presented in the form of diagram. The various online activities of libraries have also been listed and explained. This research paper emphasised that reading habits may also be inculcated through online activities beside traditional library sources and services. The survey was made through personal interaction and Google form. Questionnaire was the major instrument of data collection. Results of the findings were interpreted using simple percentage and organized in tables, and charts were prepared for clarity and better comprehension. The results of the findings revealed that students have good reading habits. They adopted both modesties.Traditional as well as modern resources of library for its upliftment. The suggestions on promotion of reading habits have also been incorporated.
