OpenAIRE2020 D7.4 - Novel Models for Open Peer Review

  • 1. Georg-August-Universität Göttingen

Description

Open Peer Review (OPR) is a key component of Open Science, and OpenAIRE recognizes its potential to bring greater transparency, accountability and/or inclusivity to research evaluation. OPR is presently, however, a nascent concept with no consensus definition, a lack of information regarding stakeholders’ attitudes to it, and a paucity of evidence for the effectiveness or not of its various traits. Through desk research, quantitative and qualitative stakeholder surveys and the research and development of OPR prototypes, this study aims to address these information gaps in order to foster the uptake and implementation of OPR where appropriate.
