AgroTwin Drone Vineyard Dataset 2024

Description
The drone data was collected in Cesa (Italy) in 3 surveys from half May 2024 to early July 2024. Each survey was composed of 2 drone flights, one with the camera in nadir position (i.e., 90°) and the other with the camera positioned at 30° to the horizon (inclined mode), both at an altitude of 30 meters above ground level and with 85% front and side image overlaps.
Furthermore, we conducted a sensitivity analysis. In particular we performed a series of surveys having the following flight characteristics:

where: h=height, fo=Front Overlap, so=Side Overlap.
The dataset comprises the following data:
- "UAV RGB Images": This folder contains multiple subfolders, each holding a collection of RGB images in a specific phenological stage collected with different camera angle (nadir and 30°). The "Sensitivity_Images" folder contains the sensitivity RGB images as described previously.
The image where collected using the DJI Phantom 3 Professional and encoded in the JPG format (.jpg). The image metadata includes GNSS information, camera settings, and capture dates.
- "Pointclouds": The "Pointclouds" folder contains multiple 3D point clouds data generated from RGB images using OpenDroneMap open-source photogrammetric software. In the sensitivity analysis, a 3D point cloud has been processed for each type of flight (30°, Nadir and Nadir+30°). The 3D point cloud data was created with high resolution and was saved in ply format (.ply).
