Description

Genus Hymetrochota Topsent, 1904

Hymetrochota species are encrusting with a hymedesmioid skeleton, smooth ectosomal tornotes and spined choanosomal styles with auxiliary acanthostyles echinating the substrate. Microscleres are birotulas (Van Soest 2002 [2004]b).
