Description

The Health-RI FAIR data stewards basics course is organised for starting data stewards at the Health-RI nodes and partners. It introduces them to the basics of research data management and FAIR data stewardship in the health domain. Topics on the agenda: the different tasks areas of data stewards, the perspective from a research funder on FAIR, demonstrator projects, tools & technologies that ease the process of creating FAIR research data, research software consultancy in the UMC’s etc. In hands-on sessions, data stewards draft and review a DMP, advise researchers on archiving and publishing data and learn how to deal with qualitative data. They define their own learning goals and draft a plan to increase awareness on FAIR in their institutions.

The course took place on 5, 6 and 13 June 2024 in Utrecht and was organised by Fieke Schoots (Health-RI); Mirjam Brullemans-Spansier (Radboudumc), Maria Vivas Romero (MUMC+) with speakers from Health-RI Hub, Regional Nodes and ZonMW.
