Description
Given the current speed of advancements in the development of knowledge technologies, particularly AI, a
thorough analysis of the key concepts and their risks is crucial. Central to the KT4D project is the aim to conceptualise the current state of the art in regard to the impact of AI and big data on democracy from the perspective of governments, companies, and organisations. The analysis included in this deliverable, modules D and E of the KT4D Social Risk Toolkit, is based on a literature review and applied philosophical analysis and focuses on conceptualising and robustly defining risks that the use of personal data and user profiling pose from an institutional perspective.
