Unlocking the Potential of Pharmacogenomics: A Semantic Approach to Precision Medicine

Description

Pharmacogenomics (PGx) is the study of how an individual's genetic makeup influences their response to drugs. Recently, PGx has come to the forefront of healthcare innovation due to its role in Precision Medicine.

In this talk, I will go through how we constructed a PGx Knowledge Graph platform that seamlessly integrates disparate data sources, to enable powerful biomedical applications, clinical decision support and analytics at the point of care. The knowledge platform is also accessible to application builders, developers, and researchers through an easy-to-use API, thus reducing the barrier to building healthcare applications.

Furthermore, we will look at how the platform enables the adoption of FAIR principles to address critical challenges in data integration, interoperability, and application development within the health and life sciences domain.
