Holotype: CVULA IV-1608.
Type locality: “Páramo de La Culata, Distrito Libertador, Estado Mérida, Venezuela, 2,880 m.”
Distribution: Region 1. Surroundings of type locality, in streams of páramo and subpáramo 2,600 –3,000 m asl.
