ID16S-v1.0

Updated release that fixes various issues

Changes

  • run_ID16S.pl: now generates distribution plots automatically.
  • create_figure.py: now italicizes names properly depending on taxonomic ranks + svg font are now editable
  • download_ID16S_dbs.pl: the NCBI datasets command line now matches its current release ## Tested with NCBI datasets v.16.17.3
  • generate_database.pl: now creates a timestamp + minor fixes.
  • setup_ID16S.pl: fixed subdirs paths
  • Updated the prebuilt normalization database to May 30th 2024. taxon_links.tsv.gz is now compressed to save space.
  • Simplified the README
  • Minor code cleanup
