¿Creó la pandemia por COVID-19 una diferenciación digital entre generaciones? Caso: Colombia

En Colombia, como en el resto del mundo, la disrupción generada por la pandemia global por la COVID-19 creó una nueva realidad que normalizó y generalizó el uso de tecnologías de información y comunicación (tic), redefiniendo el concepto de presencialidad. Utilizando las 415 respuestas de una encuesta realizada, este estudio presenta una descripción de los efectos de moderación por sexo y por generación (Z, Y, X, W) sobre la percepción en el uso de tecnologías digitales en el ámbito de la educación superior. Esta investigación encontró que no existe brecha por sexo, es decir que la percepción de mujeres y hombres es similar, y que los comportamientos de percepción esperados para menores de 25 años son estadísticamente similares a los de los encuestados mayores de 65 años.

Abstract (English)

In Colombia, as in the rest of the world, the disruption generated by the global pandemic COVID-19 created a new standard that generalized the use of information and communication technologies (ict), redefining the concept of in person. Using the 415 responses to a survey conducted, this study presents a description of the effects of moderation by sex and generation (Z, Y, X, W) on perception in the use of digital technologies in the field of higher education finding that there is no gender gap, i.e. the perception of women and men is similar and, that the expected perception behaviors for children under the age of 25 are statistically similar to those of respondents over the age of 65.

Na Colômbia, como no resto do mundo, a ruptura gerada pela pandemia global COVID-19 criou uma nova normalidade que generalizou o uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (tic), redefinindo o conceito de presencialidade. A partir das 415 respostas a uma enquete realizada, esta pesquisa apresenta uma descrição dos efeitos da moderação por Sexo e por Geração (Z, Y, X, W) sobre a percepção no uso de tecnologias digitais no campo da educação superior colombiana. Esta pesquisa constatou que não há disparidade de gênero, ou seja, a percepção de mulheres e homens é semelhante, e que os comportamentos de percepção esperados para os menores de 25 anos são estatisticamente semelhantes aos dos pesquisados com mais de 65 anos.
