Description
This OpenGeoSys workflow forms the technological basis for the THM simulation in 3D with changing boundary conditions based on the geological reference models. It is one result of the AREHS (German: "Auswirkungen sich ändernder Randbedingungen auf die Entwicklung hydrogeologischer Systeme") project, and defines all computational processes, starting from the geological and physical model through the execution of the FEM simulation with OpenGeoSys to the generation of the figures in the final report. The developed framework is modular and expandable. A high degree of parameterization enables the isolated consideration of different topics and provides the basis for further studies on the topics of correctness, efficiency and robustness. The results and illustrations of clay and salt used in the report were created by applying the workflow. The workflow offers the variation of model properties, process properties and meshing strategies and has a generic (SLURM workload manager) interface to high-performance computers. Simulations can be carried out on the high-performance computer JUWELS at the Jülich Research Centre.
See the AREHS workflow documentation for further technical information.
