MONITORING OF DRYING UP OF LAKES ACCORDING TO REMOTE EARTH SENSING DATA

The scientific article examines the application of remote sensing (RS) and geographic information systems (GIS) for monitoring lake drying, a critical environmental issue exacerbated by climate change. The study focuses on three lakes: Great Salt Lake (USA), Lake Poopó (Bolivia), and Lake Urmia (Iran), all of which have experienced significant drying trends in recent decades.
