Octodon pacificus Hutterer 1994

Octodon pacificus Hutterer 1994, Z. Saugetierk., 59: 28.

Type Locality: Chile, Arauca Prov., Isla Mocha (38 o 22’S, 73 o 55’W).

Vernacular Names: Pacific Degu.

Distribution: Known only from type locality.

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Larger and heavier than the three mainland species of this genus.
