Type Locality: Australia, New South Wales, Sydney.

Vernacular Names: Greater Glider.

Subspecies::

Subspecies Petauroides volans subsp. volans Kerr 1792

Subspecies Petauroides volans subsp. minor Collett 1887

Distribution: E Australia, from Dandenong Ranges (Victoria) to Rockhampton (Queensland).

Conservation: Lower Risk (lc). Common.
