Type Locality: Camp 2, Antomboka River Fitsahana, Parc National de la Montagne d’Ambre, Antsiranana Fivondronana, Antsiranana Province 12°29’S 49°10’E, altitude 650 m, Madagascar.

Vernacular Names: Pale Shrew Tenrec.

Distribution: Eastern humid rainforests of N, E and SE Madagascar.
