Hipposideros doriae Peters 1871, Monatsb. K. Preuss. Akad. Wiss. Berlin, 1871: 326.

Type Locality: Malaysia, Sarawak.

Vernacular Names: Bornean Leaf-nosed Bat.

Synonyms: Hipposideros sabanus Thomas 1898.

Distribution: W Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah (Malaysia), Borneo and Sumatra (Indonesia).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as H. sabanus; Data Deficient as H. doriae.

Discussion: bicolor species group. Includes sabanus, see Hill (1963 b) and Benda (2000). Lectotype designated by Benda (2000).
