Chaetodipus artus Osgood 1900

Chaetodipus artus Osgood 1900, N. Amer. Fauna, 18: 55.

Type Locality: Mexico, Chihuahua, Batopilas.

Vernacular Names: Narrow-skulled Pocket Mouse.

Distribution: S Sonora, SW Chihuahua, W Durango, Sinaloa, and N Nayarit (Mexico).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Revised by Anderson (1964). Taxonomy and distribution reviewed by Williams et al. (1993) and Patton and Alvarez-Castañeda (1999); biology reviewed by Best and Lackey (1992 a, Mammalian Species No. 418).
