Cryptotis medellinia Thomas 1921, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 9, 8: 354.

Type Locality: Colombia, Antioquia Dept., 30 km N Medellín, San Pedro.

Vernacular Names: Medellin Small-eared Shrew.

Distribution: Northern portions of the Central and Western Cordilleras, Colombia.

Discussion: C. thomasi group. Revised by Vivar et al. (1997) and Woodman (2002).
