Species and subspecies: 1 species:
Species Ruwenzorisorex suncoides (Osgood 1936)
Discussion: Data on the brain structure support generic separation; see Stephan et al. (1991). Genetic data show that Ruwenzorisorex and Suncus s. str. are sister taxa (Querouil et al., 2001).
