Type Locality: Philippines, Mindoro, Mt. Halcon.
Vernacular Names: Philippine Pygmy Fruit Bat.
Distribution: Philippines except Palawan region.
Conservation: IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – Vulnerable; IUCN 2003 – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Genetic variation discussed by Peterson and Heaney (1993); a new species from Sibuyan Isl is currently being described (Heaney et al., 1998).
