Cercopithecus kandti Matschie 1905, Sitzb. Ges. Naturf. Fr. Berlin: 264.

Type Locality: Dem. Rep. Congo, Virunga Volcanoes.

Vernacular Names: Golden Monkey.

Synonyms: Cercopithecus insignis Elliot 1909.

Distribution: Virunga Volcanoes on Dem. Rep. Congo – Uganda – Rwanda borders; Nyungwe Forest, Rwanda.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Endangered as C. mitis kandti.

Discussion: C. mitis species group. Separated from C. mitis by Groves (2001 c).
