Type Locality: Madagascar, supposedly from Fort Dauphin; fixed as Tsidsibon River by Groves (2000 a).

Vernacular Names: Lesser Dwarf Lemur.

Synonyms: Cheirogaleus minor É. Geoffroy 1812; Cheirogaleus samati Grandidier 1867.

Distribution: W Madagascar.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
