Millardia kathleenae Thomas 1914

Millardia kathleenae Thomas 1914, J. Bombay Nat. Hist. Soc., 23: 29.

Type Locality: Burma, Pagan.

Vernacular Names: Burmese Metad.

Distribution: Apparently endemic to C Burma (Ellerman, 1961).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Sody (1941) proposed the genus Millardomys for this species. Aplin (in litt., 2004) trapped it at Mt Popa and near Pagan, found it absent from surrounding areas, and suspected it to be locally common in the central dry zone of Burma.
