Type Species: Anoema aeningensis König 1825

Synonyms: Anoema König 1825; Archaeomys Fraas 1856; Lagomys G. Cuvier 1800; Myolagus Hensel 1856.

Species and subspecies: 1 species:

Species Prolagus sardus (Wagner 1832)

Discussion: Previously considered a subfamily (Gureev, 1964), but elevated by Erbajeva (1988, 1994) to family Prolagidae. Reviewed by Tobien (1975).
