Hylopetes bartelsi Chasen 1939, Treubia, 17: 185.

Type Locality: "Tjilondong, Mt. Pangrango, West Java, about 900 metres" [Indonesia].

Vernacular Names: Bartel's Flying Squirrel.

Distribution: Java.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).

Discussion: Formerly included in Petinomys; but see Corbet and Hill (1992).
