Chaerephon solomonis Troughton 1931

Chaerephon solomonis Troughton 1931, Proc. Linn. Soc. N. S. W., 56: 201.

Type Locality: Solomon Isls, SW coast of Ysabel Isl, 6 mi. (9 km) W of Tuarugu Village, cave at Mufu Point.

Vernacular Names: Solomons Mastiff Bat.

Distribution: Solomon Isls.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).

Discussion: plicatus species group. Often included in jobensis (e.g. Felten, 1964 a; Hill, 1983), but provisionally recognized as distinct following Flannery (1995 b).
