Type Locality: Borneo, Kalimantan Tengah, Barito River.
Vernacular Names: Red-brown Pipistrelle.
Distribution: Borneo.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt) as Pipistrellus kitcheneri.
Discussion: Listed as a subspecies of imbricatus by Chasen (1940), but see Tate (1942 a) and Medway (1977). May be conspecific with lophurus; see Francis and Hill (1986).
