Artibeus (Dermanura) anderseni Osgood 1916, Field Mus. Nat. Hist. Publ., Zool. Ser., 10: 212.

Type Locality: Brazil, Rondonia, Porto Velho.

Vernacular Names: Andersen's Fruit-eating Bat.

Distribution: W Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Dermanura. Previously considered a subspecies of cinereus, but see Koopman (1978 b) and Handley (1987).
