Type Locality: Peru, Departmento Loreto, SE bank of Río Gálvez, village of Nuevo San Juan, 5°17'30"S, 73°9'50"W, 150 m.
Vernacular Names: Matses Big-eared Bat.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Not evaluated (new species).
