HYGIENIC CHARACTERISTICS OF PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL INDICATORS OF STUDENTS' HEALTH STATUS IN DISTANCE LEARNING

Abstract: This research presents the results of a study of the specifics of students' educational
activities in distance learning, their living and social conditions under quarantine restrictions, and
then the specifics of their stay in the context of full-scale hostilities in the country. In the natural
experiment, the main environmental factors that can worsen the functional state and health of young
people were identified.
The three-year dynamics of the functional state of the central nervous system, peculiarities of
the psycho-emotional state and well-being, individual-typological and characterological properties of
young people are investigated. The peculiarities of the educational process, study load and daily
routine are studied; the hygienic characteristics of the peculiarities of the educational adaptation of
the identified groups are given.
When studying the peculiarities of life and learning, it was found that medical students are
exposed to a set of unfavourable regime and organisational factors associated with the transition to
distance learning, prolonged stay in a confined space and excessive use of electronic devices, the
development of hypodynamia, which complicates the learning process and can lead to changes in the
functional and psycho-physiological state of students in the learning process
The study of the psycho-emotional state of young people revealed low indicators of activity and
mood, which indicate that students have difficulties in forming, implementing and changing activities.
According to the dynamics of indicators of the psycho-emotional state of students, the periods of the
greatest psychological risk have been identified. Under the influence of prolonged stress caused by
the disruption of the usual way of life, the number of students with accentuations in most individual
and personal characteristics has increased, which may indicate a violation of social and psychological
adaptation. A set of measures to preserve and strengthen the physical and mental health of young people
has been developed. It consists of hygienic pre-diagnosis of changes in the health of young people,
with their subsequent correction involving sanitary, regime, organisational and adaptive measures of
individual and group nature, and evaluation of the effectiveness of these measures.
