Description

Dynamic reservoir modelling is an outstanding powerful tool used to express and model the behavior of the reservoir through the time. Static geological model built based on 3D seismic interpretations, well logs and core data represents an input for the dynamic model. Commercially available software Petrel-RE (Reservoir engineering part) and Eclipse simulator were used in the dynamic modelling. In contrast to the static model, the simulation model worked with changing parameters during the production history, e.g. pressure or fluid production. The main objective of the dynamic modelling was to integrate all the available data and adjust the spatial reservoir property distributions in order to obtain as close match as possible of the calculated with observed values. The final dynamic model provides the matched production history, improved understanding of the storage system and a simulated prediction of the future CO2 injection and fluid flow in the reservoir-and-caprock system.
