TEACHING PRONUNCIATION IN ESL/EFL CLASSROOMS

Language teachers recognize the importance of clear pronunciation for effective communication.  Pronunciation is a crucial aspect of learning to speak, and students often request additional class time for it. Teachers typically struggle with incorporating pronunciation into their curriculum, despite its importance.  Teachers must integrate pronunciation into speaking-oriented classrooms in a way that aligns with the course's oral communication goals (Murphy, 1991).
