Description

The increasing volumes of data being produced, curated and made available by big data infrastructures require services to optimise the delivery and staging of data on behalf of investigators and other users of scientific data. Specialised data services for managing data lifecycle, for creating and delivering data products, and for customised data processing, play a crucial role in big data infrastructures to serve their user communities.  In this talk, I will present latest results from two on-going EU H2020 projects: SWITCH and ENVRIPLUS. The SWITCH project aims to develop an interactive software engineering platform for time critical cloud applications, and the ENVRIPLUS project is the cluster project for developing interoperable data solutions for more than 20 pan-European big data research infrastructures in environmental and earth sciences.
