Description

Over the past decade, the exploration of functional framework materials– with notable examples that include metalorganic frameworks (MOFs), covalentorganic frameworks (COFs), hydrogen bonded-organic frameworks (HOFs) and porous organic polymers (POPs)– has generated new research areas in chemistry and materials science. The driving force to explore these materials is based c on their unprecedented structural tunability and physicochemical properties. These materials stand at the forefront of scientic research due to their promising functionalities in separation, catalysis, energy conversion/storage, sensing, and medicine, to name a few relevant applications.
