ШЛЯХИ ВКЛЮЧЕННЯ ІНОЗЕМНИХ СТУДЕНТІВ ДО ІНШОМОВНОГО ПРОФЕСІЙНО-КУЛЬТУРНОГО СЕРЕДОВИЩА ВНЗ УКРАЇНИ

Description

The issues of adaptation of foreign students to study conditions in Ukrainian universities and, as its successful result, their inclusion in the foreign language professional and cultural environment of the university are considered in the article. The author gives examples of the difficulties experienced by foreign students from the first days of staying in a Ukrainian university, analyzes the existing problems of their adaptation to studying. Groups of adaptation problems of foreign students are considered: socio-cultural adaptation; socio-psychological adaptation; pedagogical adaptation. The main agents of socialization and adaptation of foreign students in the higher educational institution of Ukraine are teachers - as bearers of professional values, and as representatives of culture, including language, is emphasized.  Attention to the fact that the training of foreigners in domestic universities should take into account ethnopedagogical technologies and techniques is drawn. As the main ways leading to the inclusion of a foreign student in the foreign language professional and cultural environment of the university, the author determines the adaptation by teachers of special disciplines of texts of lectures on the specialty taking into account the level of language training of foreign students; the providing of separate teaching aids for foreigners with active cooperation with philologists who are responsible for the language training of foreign students; the definition of specific and clear questions on topics and sections aimed at the independent work of the student with a textbook, etc. The author gives examples of pedagogical techniques that are used for the same purpose by teachers and philologists: the creation of speech situations that are as close to reality as possible; discussion of issues and topics relevant to this student audience; according to the age, religion, social and other characteristics of the contingent; stimulation of students' motivational sphere; formation of a cognitive need for mastering the language of instruction; familiarization with the Ukrainian national-cultural traditions means of out-of-class activities. As the part of the educational policy in the field of training specialists for foreign countries should be a scientifically organized process of their adaptation to the foreign language professional and cultural environment of the university is concluded.
