Description
The aim of the article is to study the main features and specifics of the anti-colonial literature of the Tibetan region of the People's Republic of China and to understand what motives are represented in modern Chinese literature. Tibetan literature in its turn, rich and varied, has always reflected the deep cultural and historical traditions of Tibet. However, in recent decades, it has become an arena for anti-colonial discourse that reflects the complex relationship between Tibet and its neighbors, particularly China.
Due to the chosen approach, it becomes clear that anti-colonialism in Tibetan literature does not simply reflect resistance against external influence, but is also an expression of the desire to preserve national identity and cultural authenticity.
In conclusion, Tibet’s history has seen many colonial and political changes that have influenced its culture and literature. Since the Chinese occupation in the mid-20th century, Tibetan culture and identity have come under considerable external pressure. These events evoked a wide range of literary responses, from open resistance to more subtle forms of symbolic protest.
