FORENSIC TOXICOMETRY AND TANATOGENESIS IN ACUTE COMBINED POISONINGS
Description
The nosology of acute poisoning is extremely diverse and differs significantly in different countries. In Uzbekistan, the bulk of poisoning is accounted for by alcohol and its surrogates, acids (mainly acetic) and alkalis, various medications, mainly hypnotics and sedatives, organophosphorus and other pesticides. The biological activity of chemical compounds is determined by their structure, physical and chemical properties, dose (concentration) and duration of exposure; features of intake and biotransformation in the body; resistance of tissues and organs to poisons and the individual characteristics of a particular victim. In this regard, the forensic medical assessment of concomitant acute poisoning is a very relevant and unresolved problem.
