Self-esteem, Loneliness and Depression in Adolescents whose Parents Divorced

The purpose of this study was to empirically examine the effect of self-esteem, loneliness on depression in adolescents whose parents are divorced. While the respondents in this study were adolescents who had divorced parents. The sample of this study amounted to 79 participants aged 12-21 years. This study uses multiple linear regression methods so that it can predict the relationship between variables and uses purposive sampling techniques. The scales used in this study are Rosenberg Self- Esteem Scale (SES), Ucla Loneliness Scale Version 3, and Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) The results showed that there was an effect of self-esteem on depression by 39%, while the effect of loneliness on depression was 43.7%, and there was an effect of self-esteem and loneliness on depression in adolescents whose parents were divorced by 54.3%.
