Observations. A series of specimens from RPSP were collected from trap nests and are smaller in size than other specimens, but other characters easily assign them to this species. Although the nests themselves were not examined, this raises curiosity as known nests from the species group are aerial (Z. miniatus in Ducke 1914; Z. schadei in Bohart & Stange 1965; Z. nodosus in Lopes 2023).
