The article presents an analysis of scientific and theoretical concepts and approaches to the study of the problem of “career” in modern research. Changing market conditions, technological progress, and rapid changes in labor requirements create an environment in which it is important to have a clear understanding of one’s professional needs and capabilities. In this context, psychological science plays a key role in understanding the processes of career choice, career development, and self-realization.
