Confucius's Viewpoint on the Relationship between the Ruler and the People and is Significance for the Relationship between the Party and the State in Vietnam Today

Abstract: The relationship between the ruler and the people is a major, topical topic, attracting the attention of many thinkers in the past as well as in the present period. Confucius's thoughts in general and Confucius's views on the relationship between rulers and people in particular have a long history of formation and development in both depth and breadth. Confucius's thoughts and Confucius's views on the relationship between rulers and people in particular were introduced to Vietnam with the Northern invaders around 111 BC. During feudal times, it not only influenced and played a major role in many areas of Vietnamese social and human life, but also became a spiritual tool of feudal dynasties; played a certain role in the formation and development of Vietnamese feudalism. Currently, that ideology has become one of the factors in the lives of the Vietnamese people, expressed in the customs, habits, lifestyle, thinking, and ethics of many people. After nearly 40 years of implementing the reform process, Vietnam has achieved great achievements of historical significance, strong and comprehensive development. In the current context, stemming from the reality of the country's reform process, it is necessary to study and analyze to clarify the basic content of the relationship between the ruler and the people in Confucius's concept. Pointing out its significance for the relationship between the rulers and the people in Vietnam today is still a content of urgent theoretical and practical significance. Accordingly, the relationship between the ruler and the people in Confucius's conception is a close and inseparable relationship, the relationship between the ruler and the people is a two-way relationship. The article also points out and analyzes the meaning of the relationship between the rulers and the people in Vietnam today, shown through the relationship between the ruling party and the people and the relationship between the Party and the State today. in Viet Nam..
