Description

Jishiyu Lin & Li, gen. nov.

Type species: Jishiyu songjiang Lin & Li, sp. nov. from China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The genus is named after Jishiyu, nickname for one of the 108 outlaws in the classical Chinese literature Outlaws of the Marsh; masculine in gender.

Diagnosis. The new genus is similar to Orumcekia Koçak & Kemal, 2008 (see Wang, 1994) by the presence of a prolateral tibial apophysis, curved embolus and bifurcated conductor. However, the new genus can be distinguished from Orumcekia by the absence of a patellar apophysis (vs. present in Orumcekia) and in the male, femur I is basally expanded (vs. unmodified in Orumcekia).

Description. Medium-sized. Body length 6.99. Carapace oval, chelicera well developed, covered with black setae. Four promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Femur I basally expanded. Six spinnerets, short, cribellum lacking, colulus wide.

Male palp lacking patellar apophysis. Prolateral tibial apophysis and retrolateral tibial apophysis present, prolateral tibial apophysis triangular and retrolateral tibial apophysis bifurcated. Tegular apophysis oblong. Conductor white, with two parts. Embolus belt-like, folded at terminus.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Species included. Jishiyu songjiang Lin & Li, sp. nov.
