Artifact Evaluation VM - Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
Description
This is a Ubuntu 22.04 LTS virtual machine (VM) image. It is used as evaluation environment for paper artifacts at computer science conferences. It is a default Ubuntu 22.04 LTS installation with the following additional packages installed:
- build-essential
- cargo
- clang
- cmake
- g++-multilib
- gcc-multilib
- mono-complete
- openjdk-8-jdk
- python3-pip
- python3.10
- ruby
- rustc
Artifacts should be self-contained and should not depend on an internet connection. Therefore, artifacts should include all required dependencies (.deb packages, Python packages, etc.) and provide installation instructions for the user. This ensures that artifacts will be used with the tested dependency versions, which will allow artifacts to be replicable for several years.
The user and password for this VM is:
- user: artifact
- password: artifact
This artifact VM was inspired by the TACAS artifact evaluation VM images (https://zenodo.org/records/7113223).
