Description
This study seeks to monitor the mythological elements in Urdu ghazal, by monitoring the cultural dimensions of the myth and its reflections in Urdu ghazal in general, and Shakib Jalali’s ghazal in particular. The researcher has tried to present a vision of the mythical discourse in Urdu ghazal since its first inception at the hands of the first Urdu poets. To the image it has reached today in modern and contemporary Urdu ghazal, which is naturally linked to a new view of myth as a literary and cultural phenomenon linked to the nature of the development of societies and thus the development of creative arts.
The study also reveals the diversity of methods of employing mythological elements in Urdu yarn, and the multiplicity of tributaries of Urdu myth, which derived its first data from ancient Hindu myths.
