Delft3D-FLOW input files for publication: "Sand Dunes as a Nature-Based Solution to Mitigate Salt Intrusion in Stratified Estuaries"

Creators

Description

Delft3D-FLOW input files. Zip-file contains various input files for the study on the influence of dune height in case of depth-neutral dunes. Matlab file (.m file) can be used to generate different system geometries with the complete notation as in the paper. Same settings as in the model examples can be used, as long as dynamic equilibrium is attained.

Note that the presented bathymetry files use an envelope function b(x) with a larger run-up and smoother profile compared to the results presented in the paper, focussing the sand dune field more in the interior of the domain. Use the Matlab (.m) file to generate the desired bathymetry.

The boundary condition files are presented for the strongly stratified (SS) case, but can easily be adapted to model the SW and SIPS cases.
